We are a family-owned and operated business that started over 30 years ago by my father Brian, in 1994. Luke, that’s me, continuing the business. We are committed to providing you with premium Hobart painting services that centre around your needs and budget. What We Do
We do more than put paint on walls. Our job is to protect your home, improve how it looks, and make the whole process as smooth as possible. That starts with proper preparation, honest advice, the right paint system, and care in the details most people do not see once the job is finished.

Preparation is where a quality paint job is won or lost. If surfaces are not cleaned, sanded, repaired, sealed, or coated properly, the finish may look fine at first but fail much sooner than it should. That is why we take the time to do the groundwork properly. We look for problem areas, explain what needs attention, keep the site tidy, and use coating systems suited to your home and our local conditions. The goal is simple: a better-looking finish, a longer-lasting result, and a painting experience that gives you confidence from start to finish.
How It Works
1. We’ll organise a time to inspect your site, and will email you to confirm and remind you of the date and time.
2. At the inspection, we’ll have a chat with you to find out exactly what you’re after, as well as take all of the relevant information needed to prepare your obligation-free quote.
3. Within 24 hours, we’ll send you a detailed, itemised quote that presents and describes everything that we’ll do on the job. This can include a complimentary professional colour consultation, valued at $350 should you choose to work with us.
4. Once accepted, we’ll take an initial deposit and book in a time for our team to start.
5. We’re committed to finishing what we start—every time in a timely manner.
6. Once the job is complete, we’ll issue an invoice. If you, or any of your family and friends require our services or have any questions whatsoever, please don’t hesitate to get in touch again.

Luke and the team at Performance Painting are the best painters in Hobart. They have completed several jobs for us over the years: a full exterior repaint on a 1950s weatherboard house, almost a full interior repaint, picket fence, and deck. Luke has always been great to deal with - friendly, knowledgeable, skilled and reliable. The quality of their work is impeccable with great attention to detail, and such a clean job site. Luke and his team have just finished an exterior painting project on our heritage listed cottage in South Hobart.

I found Luke of Performance Painting through Dulux Preferred Painters. He was so professional in his on line and phone communication.His quote was delivered in a timely fashion and was competitive with others I received.
Luke has now completed the work as quoted, and it has been performed to the high standard I expected. It was finished in the time frame advised and the cleanup following job completion was much appreciated, especially the re-placement of furniture.
I highly recommend Luke for any painting required.
